Transportation workers will strike in several cities across Germany from March 18 until March 20; anticipate transportation disruptions.

An ongoing strike will continue to impact bus, tram, rail, and air travel. Berlin Brandenburg Airport has suspended flights throughout the day on March 18. Hamburg, Bavaria, and North Rhine-Westphalia will experience disruptions to bus, tram, and rail services on March 19, with impacts in Hamburg expected to last until March 20. The US Embassy in Seoul has advised US citizens to exercise caution around Gwanghwamun Square due to a concert on March 21 between 8:00-9:00 PM. The concert is estimated to have a crowd of 250,000 people. South Korean authorities have labeled the event as a “caution” because of potential ‘crowd crushes’ due to the high density of attendees. Road closures will begin at 6:00 PM on March 20 and continue until the morning of March 22. Public transportation will be significantly disrupted during this time period.

RMT union strikes on the London Underground from March 24–27 will cause severe transit disruptions in London, United Kingdom.

RMT union drivers will stage 24-hour strikes from noon March 24–25 and noon March 26–27. Expect severe disruptions across all Underground lines, with residual delays likely on Wednesday and Friday afternoons as services recover. Elizabeth line, DLR, and bus services will remain operational but will be extremely crowded. The strikes are specifically timed to span both evening and morning peak periods each day to maximize the impact.

The trade union UNITE has organized strikes from March 19-22 among bus drivers of the East London Bus and Coach Company. The strikes are in response to reports of overworking and insufficient break areas. Affected areas will include central London, east London, and Essex. Routes 8, 25, 205, and 425 will be impacted, which will likely see significant delays.
