aiwan’s annual ‘Han Kuang’ military exercises will continue through August 14, with urban resilience drills and live-fire exercises in densely populated areas from August 7 to 13. Heightened security presence, localized access restrictions, and temporary internet disruptions are likely in areas affected by air-raid drills. Military activity and cross-Strait tensions will likely increase as China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) activity rose after previous Han Kuang iterations.

Heightened security is expected across Berlin, Germany, following a deadly vehicle attack during Berlin Pride celebrations on July 25.

On July 25, around 11:00 PM, a suspected Islamic State (IS) inspired vehicle-ramming attack occurred during Berlin Pride celebrations in Tiergarten. One death and 29 injuries were reported before the suspect was fatally shot by police in the Spandau District, prompting the event’s cancellation and evacuation. German authorities will likely maintain a heightened police presence around major public gathering sites, transport hubs, nightlife areas, and upcoming events as the investigation continues.

The Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will begin in Rabat, Morocco, on July 26; expect heightened security and travel delays.

The international Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) soccer tournament will attract tens of thousands of fans from July 26 to August 16 in five major venues across Rabat and Casablanca. The kick-off takes place at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat at 6:00 PM. Increased security measures, pedestrian congestion, and traffic delays are likely around WAFCON stadiums and public gatherings throughout the event
