France will face airport disruptions on April 6 as EasyJet staff strike, causing delays and cancellations.

The National Union of Autonomous Trade Unions (UNAC) in France announced a one-day strike on April 6 across airports in France. The strike involves Easylet personnel, including cabin crew. The affected airports include Paris Orly and Charles-de-Gaulle, Nice, Nantes, Lyon, and Bordeaux. Since the UNAC Union filed for the strike, Easylet officials are attempting to halt, postpone, and limit the impact of the strike.

Intense weather will hit multiple cities across Japan from April 4-7, bringing strong winds and heavy rain.

A low-pressure system will impact southern Japan from April 4-7. Flights, rails, and road travel may be disrupted by rain and poor visibility. Flooding is likely in low-lying areas, and strong winds may cause damage or blow away unsecured items. Gale advisories, meaning winds of 39–54 MPH, have been issued for Kadena, Kitanakagusuku, Uruma, Yomitan, Onna, Chatan, and additional high wave and thunderstorm advisories have been issued for Okinawa.

Train workers will strike in the Brasilia, Brazil on April 15, causing travel delays.

Train staff employed by Metro-DF, the Federal District’s train company, rescheduled the strike from March 30 to April 15. The strike will be held to pressure the government to respond to poor working conditions and understaffing. Ongoing negotiations with the government prompted them to postpone the strike. The strike will impact train services across Brasília.

Public sector employees in Santa Fe, Argentina will strike for 72 hours on April 8-10; expect disruptions to multiple services.

Public sector employees will strike for 72 hours on April 8-10. The strike will disrupt municipal-level services, including healthcare, public transport and administrative offices. Federation of Municipal Workers’ Unions of Santa Fe (FESTRAM) organized the strike to demand higher wages and denounce the provincial government’s lack of commitment during collective bargaining negotiations. No demonstrations have been announced in conjunction with the strike.

Severe weather across Canada causes airlines to cancel and delay flights until Tuesday, March 31.

Canada is experiencing thunderstorms, severe rainfall, and strong winds, causing major airlines to cancel or delay flights.
So far, there have been 98 cancellations and 535 delays in flights. The storm is expected to intensify and cause additional delays. Affected cities include Quebec, Edmonton, Ottawa, Toronto, and Calgary. This storm is expected to continue through Tuesday, March 31.

Transportation workers will strike indefinitely, causing major travel disruptions in Oruro, Bolivia beginning on April 1.

The Christian National Trade Union Federation (CNV), the Federation of Dutch Trade Unions (FNV),  and other unions have called for a 24-hour strike across the Netherlands on April 14. This strike is a follow up to a previous protest against a wage freeze for government workers. The CNV and FNV unions represent many public transport workers, and are often involved in strikes that significantly disrupt rail and buses. Expect heavy delays for public transportation across the Netherlands.
