On October 23, two militants attacked the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries with gunfire and explosives, killing at least five and wounding 22. The attackers were killed during the confrontation. The Turkish government has labelled the attack as terrorism, attributed it to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), and intensified bombing of PKK sites in Iraq and Syria.
