Incident Details

A 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck across the Chocó Department, Colombia, on August 10, causing injuries and significant structural damage in Quibdo. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports the earthquake occurred at 12:30 PM, with the possibility of continuous aftershocks. The earthquake was felt across Colombia, including Bogotá, prompting the  evacuation of buildings and homes. Local authorities are assessing the extent of the impacts.
