Protests in Athens and Thessaloniki On June 29

On 29 June from 19:00, activists are planning to protest in Syntagma Square in Athens and at the Kamara in Thessaloniki. Additional police will be deployed to the protest areas and clashes are possible. Localized transport disruptions are expected until the protests have concluded.

Bolivia Air Navigation Employees to Strike Indefinitely Beginning June 24

Employees of the Administration of Airports and Auxiliary Services of Air Navigation are expected to stage an indefinite nationwide strike from 00:01 local time on 24 June due to the government’s failure to honor an agreement that was signed on 20 May. Workers are reportedly only attending humanitarian, transit, and medical emergency flights.

Flooding at Zurich Airport in Switzerland on June 24

On 24 June flooding at the Zurich Airport (ZRH) has led to the suspension of Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). Long-distance trains heading for the Airport will not make a stop at ZRH. The situation will be investigated for the severity of the flood and possible damages.

Protests to Occur in Johannesburg, South Africa on June 24

On 24 June, a protest is scheduled to occur at 10:00 local time. The protest is in response to a lack of employment opportunities for the youth of South Africa and will gather at Mary Fitzgerald Square before marching to the Constitutional Court along Hospital Street in Braamfontein.
