From March 9 until March 11, farmers will be protesting against EU agricultural policies in Budapest, Hungary. The farmers will be gathering at People’s Park on the March 9, and proceed to the area surrounding Parliament and the Chain Bridge until March 11.
On March 1 in Szczecin, Poland at least 17 were injured in a vehicle-ramming incident. A car rammed into a crowd near Rodla Square. The driver fled the scene but was later apprehended. Motives have yet to be determined.
On March 8, unionized workers in Italy will be striking in support of International Women’s Day. Unions in education, healthcare, and travel are participating in the strike. The strike is expected to last 24 hours and impact public transit in Rome, Milan and other major cities.
