Over the coming days, protesters will gather in urban hubs across Germany to denounce a motion for stricter immigration.

Until at least February 8, protesters will gather in urban hubs nationwide to denounce a motion for stricter immigration passed on January 29, proposed by the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and supported by the Alternative for Germany (AfD). On February 2 at 3:30 PM, activists will march from the Reichstag to the CDU headquarters in Berlin, and on February 3 at 1:00 PM, they will rally again at the Reichstag. Additional protests are planned. Demonstrations will likely be well attended.

On January 22, increased security and travel delays are likely during two unrelated anti-war protests in London, United Kingdom.

On January 22, anti-war activists will demonstrate at two unrelated actions. At 12:00 PM, protesters will meet near the Statue of Saint Volodymyr before marching to the Russian Embassy to denounce the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At 6:00 PM, protesters will gather outside Hackney Town Hall to demand that the U.K. government stop investing in companies that sell weapons to Israel. Increased police presence and disruptions on roads and walkways are likely.

On December 15 in Berlin, Germany, activists from over 100 civil groups will be demonstrating against proposed government spending cuts. The first demonstration will move from Lustgarten to Mariannenplatz, and the second will move from Kranoldplatz to Mariannenplatz. Both demonstrations will begin at 1:00 PM, and turnout is expected to surpass one thousand.

Multiple civil society groups have announced protests, with many calling for the resignation of the president. Heightened security will be stationed in major cities. Business and travel disruptions are possible. Clashes between police and protesters may occur.

Through December 12, more than 500,000 people are expected to participate in a Hindu festival in India and Nepal.

The Hindu festival of Vivah Panchami will be observed through December 12 between Janakpur, Nepal and Ayodhya, India. Over 2,000 security personnel will be deployed in Janakpur, and the Jathi Pipraun border, with 500,000 attendees expected. A parade from Janakpur to Ayodhya is scheduled for December 8. Disruptions at Ayodhya and Janakpur airports are possible.

On December 11, workers from the CGT Union and the French National Railway Company will strike indefinitely across France.

The demonstrators will demand a moratorium for the planned closure of freight operator Fret SNCF. The shutdown will lead to the layoff of between 170,000-200,00 employees. The work stoppage will also affect the healthcare sector. Demonstrations are expected in major cities.
