5.3-Magnitude Earthquake in Chile Leading to Potential Aftershocks as of June 23
On 22 June at 15:16 local time, a magnitude-5.3 earthquake struck 38 km southwest of Salamanca. The effects of the earthquake were most likely felt in the Coquimbo Region, Valparaiso Region, and the Santiago Metropolitan Region. No damage or casualties have been reported, however slight damage may be likely along with upcoming aftershocks.
