The Occitanie Region of France is expected to experience heavy rainfall from 14-15 September. Heavy rainfall will continue to disrupt travel routes as well as caused serious flooding and safety hazards through 15 September.
From 11-13 August, the German Train Drivers’ Union members will be conducting a nationwide strike in Germany. The strike is an attempt to receive higher wages as the union is in the middle of contract negotiations with the Deutsche Bahn rail company. Rail travel nationwide will be disrupted and route cancellations are highly likely over those few days.
An indefinite strike at Malaga Airport (AGP) will commence on 12 August. This demonstration by security workers will cause travel issues and delays. The issue derives from a breach in an agreement between the airport and the workers.

A union representing gas distributors is staging a nationwide protest on 9 August in response to the Energy Regulatory Commission’s decision to create a price cap on gas sales. This protest will result in blocked access to main roads, highways, and toll booths.
Tropical Storm Lupit, now Extratropical Cyclone Lupit, is tracking northeastward in Japan and is expected to cause continuous rain in the coming days. Cancellation of flights across the country and more are expected as the storm threatens to make a second landfall. There have been evacuation orders of more than 290,000 people across many cities in Japan.

A fatal train crash that occurred on 4 August around 08:00 local time has caused significant travel disruptions among rail lines. It is reported that the train, Ex 351 from Munich (Germany) to Prague, collided with the OS 7406 passenger train in between the Domaclize and Blizejov train stations. There have been three fatalities and several others have sustained injuries.
