Since September 15, a state of emergency persists in the El Oro, Esmeraldas, Guayas, Los Ríos, Manabí, Pichincha (including Quito), Santa Elena and Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas provinces, plus three cantons, amid organized crime violence. On October 14, President Noboa announced a nightly curfew in coastal provinces November 1-10; hours are unconfirmed (previous ones ran 12:00 AM-05:00 AM). Raids, checkpoints, vehicle searches, and heightened security are likely.

Public transportation workers are expected to strike for 24 hours across Milan, Italy, on October 9; expect severe public transit disruptions.

Public transit workers in Milan are expected to hold a 24-hour strike on October 9. The unions AL Cobas and Confial Trasporti organized the strike to oppose privatization, liberalization, and outsourcing of services run by Azienda Trasporti Milanesi (ATM). The strike will disrupt metro, bus, and tram service across Milan, with Italian law guaranteeing limited service from the start of operations until 8:45 AM and from 3:00–6:00 PM. Trenord regional trains are unaffected.

Tram workers are expected to hold a 24-hour strike in Florence, Italy, on October 10; city-wide disruptions expected.

Tram workers with the Gestione Servizio Tranvia (GEST) will hold a 24-hour strike on October 10. The city-wide strike has been called for by the COBAS Lavoro Privato union to protest recurring grievances with shifts, workloads and working conditions at GEST. Guaranteed service windows include 6:30-9:30 AM and 5:00-8:00 PM. However, outside of these hours, service are expected to be significantly reduced or suspended.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign has organized a National March to demand sanctions against Israel in London on October 10 at 12:00 PM. The march begins at Victoria Embankment before passing Big Ben, Westminster Bridge, Waterloo Loop and Bridge, the Strand, and ending at Whitehall and Downing Street. Hundreds of thousands are expected; similar protests have had large turnout and lasted four hours. Heavy police presence and significant travel disruption are expected across central London.
