Airstrikes in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, have temporarily closed airspace and heightened security across the country.

Incident Details

The UAE has extended its shelter in place orders after reported Iranian attacks on Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Doha on February 28-March 1. A drone attack hit Zayed International in Abu Dhabi, leaving one dead and seven injured, and a reported airstrike hit Dubai International, leaving four injured. Other buildings in Dubai, such as the Fairmont Hotel on Palm Jumeirah, have been struck by falling missile debris, causing fires. At least four people were reported injured.
