Incident Details
Thailand has extended its use of the Internal Security Act until September 30, 2027, in districts across the provinces of Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. Under this law, Thai authorities may impose curfews, suppress media, restrict travel, confiscate property, and detain individuals without charge. This follows a series of bombings and arson incidents in August likely perpetrated by insurgent separatist group ‘Barisan Revolusi Nasional’.
