Anticipate heavy rainfall and flooding in Wellington, New Zealand until at least 6:00 PM on April 21. A state of emergency and red warnings are in place for heavy rain, as authorities anticipate  3-4 inches on April 20 and 21. Previous heavy rain on April 18  increases the risk of flooding, which will likely disrupt transportation and may prompt evacuations.
