CUPE Local 301, a union representing over 6,000 blue-collar workers in Montreal, plans from April 15 to April 18. The union organized the strike after negotiations to increase the city’s workers’ salaries had stalled. Services that will continue during the strike are public space cleaning, water maintenance, sewage maintenance, and major road repairs. Emergency services will also remain in operation throughout the strike.
