Elevated Dengue Season in Costa Rica 2020

Incident Details

An increase in dengue activity has been noted in Costa Rica, with more than triple the cases reported for the same period last year. Over 2,600 confirmed and suspected cases have been recorded nationwide in 2020. The most affected area is Brunca region, with authorities in Perez Zeledon canton declaring an outbreak there.
