Incident Details

Protestors will march from Piazza della Repubblica to Piazza del Popolo to denounce the increased cost of living in Italy. The protest is scheduled to conclude at 5:00 PM. Attendance is anticipated to exceed 10,000 individuals. The event  is expected to remain peaceful, however strict security is planned, with vehicle blockades and heavily armed police positioned along the route. Travel disruptions will occur due to road closures diverting vehicle traffic, including bus service, and increasing pressure on metro service.
