  • Athens, Greece: Travel Advisory | Taxi Drivers, a part of the Taxi Drivers’ Union of Attica (SATA) , will go on a 48-hour strike in Athens on 9-10 September. The protest is in response to the Joint Ministerial Decree allowing vans to operate within the public transport system.   • London, United Kingdom: Travel Advisory | Members of the Rail, Maritime And Transport union (RMT) are continuing their five-day walkout until Thursday September 12 in London. This protest is being organized by a coalition of Palestinians, Aotearoa for Palestine, who are calling for sanctions to Israel for their actions in Gaza.   • Australia: Protest Advisory | On September 13, protests will take place in major cities throughout Australia.   • Jerusalem, Israel: Security Advisory | Expect heightened security over the coming days in Jerusalem following a recent shooting. Palestinian attackers were responsible for a shooting on the morning of September 8 that killed six and injured others. Increased security is expected following the attack. Travelers are advised to maintain increased awareness when in public and to plan for delays during travel.
  • Ghana: Health Advisory | Ghana has seen a recent spike in Mpox cases over the last month. The country now has almost 500 confirmed cases of the disease. Mpox is a viral disease that’s transmissible through direct contact. Travelers are advised to consult with their personal physicians to see if the Mpox vaccine is right for them.
  • Israel: Travel Advisory |On Sunday September 7 a drone launched from Yemen hit Ramon Airport in southern Israel resulting in delays and cancellations. Houthi rebels in Yemen claim responsibility for the attack which delayed and cancelled flights. Damage and injuries that resulted from this recent strike were limited. Travelers are advised to plan for residual delays to flights over the coming days and to reconfirm with their flight providers.

Heightened security and travel disruptions are expected across Budapest, from May 29–31 during the UEFA Champions League final weekend at Puskás Arena. Over 4,000 police officers will be deployed around the city, with road closures expected to cause congestion near the stadium and Budapest International Airport (BUD). Doctors will strike nationwide across Spain on May 18-22; expect disruptions to healthcare services.

Doctors will strike nationwide from May 18-22 in an ongoing call for improved working conditions. The Spanish Confederation of Medical Unions (CESM) organized the strikes which have been ongoing since February 2026. No strike-related protest have been announced but are likely. The strike is expected to cause disruptions and closures to healthcare facilities, routine appointments, elective surgeries and specialist appointments. The emergency rooms will remain open during the strike, anticipate longer wait times.

Localized disruptions are expected in Tokyo and other major urban centers in Japan on May 19 and May 29 with protesters gathering in response to proposed revisions to Japan’s pacifist constitution, concerns over lethal arms exports and the ongoing Middle East conflict.
