  • Lisbon, Portugal: Travel Advisory | On July 11 at 10:30 AM, unionized transport workers in Lisbon, Portugal will strike for 24 hours.The strike is organized to demand improved working conditions and is expected to affect bus and tram services throughout the city. Additional partial strikes are expected to follow on July 15 and 19. Travelers are advised to avoid all strike-related activity and plan alternate means of travel.
  • Tirana, Albania: Protest Advisory | On July 11, protesters plan to gather on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard. Previous protests have become violent, with protesters throwing Molotov cocktails.   • Cordoba Province, Argentina: Protest Advisory | On July 8, in Cordoba Province, bus workers will continue striking due to unmet salary demands. Travelers should use alternate means of transportation as transit disruptions are likely. 
  • Riohacha, Colombia: Protest Advisory | On July 11 at 5:00 PM, protesters will demonstrate in Riohacha, Colombia, against high rates and poor service of electricity and water distributors. Protesters will gather at Entrerios Park and then march through the city. Travelers should avoid all protests and practice enhanced situational awareness. Plan alternate routes to bypass the protest. 
  • Toronto, Canada: Protest Advisory | On July 13 at 1:00 PM, Disability Pride advocates will march from Queens Park to Grange Park. Travelers should plan alternate routes around the march. Maintain enhanced situational awareness near the march. 
  • Ecuador: Security Advisory | Until August 31, the provinces of Guayas, Los Ríos, Manabí, Orellana, Santa Elena, and El Oro will remain in a state of emergency due to the ongoing violence associated with Ecuador’s armed conflict.  Travelers should exercise enhanced situational awareness and expect a heightened security presence. Carry ID at all times and obey security directives.

  • Cambodia: Health Advisory | Over the coming weeks, bird flu will likely be a risk to travelers, following the diagnosis of a child with the disease. Bird flu is spread through direct contact with infected birds. Travelers are advised to avoid contact with birds, including in markets, and monitor for symptoms of respiratory illness. Monitor local health mandates. 
  • Chhattisgarh, India: Protest Advisory | On July 8, protesters will demonstrate against increased electricity rates and unplanned power outages. The protests will block traffic in major urban centers. Travelers should avoid all protests and expect a heightened security presence. Allow additional travel time and reconfirm route status before setting out. 
  • Chennai, India: Protest Advisory | On July 8, outside Madras High Court, lawyers will strike against the government’s accelerated implementation of three controversial criminal laws. Travelers should avoid all protests. Travelers should avoid the areas near the High Court and allow extra time for travel. Expect heightened security and monitor local news for updates.
  • South Korea: Health Advisory | Through July 15, medical workers will strike nationwide. Separate protests are expected, including those by patient advocate groups to demand an end to the strike. Significant delays in medical services are expected. Travelers are advised to avoid all protests and take note of operational medical facilities in case of emergencies. 
  • New Caledonia, France: Security Advisory | Through July 15, overnight curfews from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM have been implemented. This comes following months of protests which have resulted in deaths, injuries, and arrests. Travelers are advised to comply with the curfew and carry ID at all times. Monitor local media for updates.

  • Nigeria: Weather Advisory | Over the coming days, heavy rains nationwide are expected to bring flooding. Travelers are advised to relocate to higher elevations and monitor weather reports. Heed all evacuation notices by government officials. Avoid contact with floodwaters.
  • Amman, Jordan: Protest Advisory | Over the coming weeks, protesters will demonstrate in solidarity with Gaza. Increased security measures are likely, and clashes between protesters and security forces are possible. Travelers are advised to avoid all protests and to expect transportation disruptions. Monitor the situation via local media.  
  • Lesotho and South Africa: Weather Advisory | Until at least July 11, severe weather including heavy rainfall, cold temperatures, and strong winds is forecast across Lesotho and South Africa. Heavy rainfall may trigger flooding and landslides. Travelers should expect travel delays and reconfirm routes before setting out. Monitor local news for updates. 
  • Ethiopia: Health Advisory | In the coming months, mosquito-borne dengue is expected to be a risk to travelers. Dengue can become severe in infants, pregnant women, and individuals who have previously contracted dengue. Travelers should take heightened precautions against mosquitoes including using mosquito repellent and staying at accommodations with air conditioning and a mosquito net. Consult a health professional before traveling.

From April 22 to April 30, the 2026 Asian Beach Games will take place in Sanya, China, across multiple locations. The Asian Beach Games are an event held every four years, featuring 14 sports and nearly 2,000 athletes from at least 45 countries. The event will cause localized road closures, traffic congestion, and public transportation delays. Local security will increase significantly due to the event. Nearly 118,000 tickets have already been sold for the event.

One dead and 13 injured following a shooting at the Teotihuacán Pyramids in Mexico on April 20; expect heightened security.

A gunman has opened fire at the Teotihuacan Pyramids on April 20. The armed individual opened fire from the top of the Pyramid of the Moon resulting in one death and 13 injured. Authorities assess the attack is a lone-actor incident. The incident is no longer active following the perpetrator’s self – inflicted gunshot wounds. Security forces, including police and the National Guard have responded and confirmed the site has been secured and under control.
