  • France: Health Advisory | A nationwide independent doctor strike across France from January 5-15 will limit access to general practitioners. Independent general practitioners will strike across France to oppose the proposed 2026 Social Security Financing Bill. Upwards of 4,500 healthcare professionals are expected to participate. Access to independent practices’ offices will be limited or completely unavailable for appointments during this time. Emergency services will still be available.   • France: Travel Advisory | French EasyJet employees will strike on January 1 causing disruptions to flights across France. Cabin crew members are voicing their frustration to a lack of managerial dialogue over ongoing negotiations. Paris Orly, Paris Charles-de-Gaulle, Nice, Bordeaux, Lyon, and Nantes airports will be impacted. Delays and cancellations are likely to affect the availability of flights on other airlines.   • Mexico: Travel Advisory | Expect delays over the coming days on the Interoceanic Train in southern Mexico following a derailment. A train on line Z derailed on the morning of December 28 leaving 13 dead and 98 injured. The train that runs from the Pacific Ocean in the south of the country connects to the Gulf of Mexico in Veracruz. Travelers are advised to seek alternate forms of transportation and to monitor local media for updates.
  • Honduras: Protest Advisory | Large-scale protests are likely over the coming weeks in Honduras following the results of a closely contested presidential election. The results were announced December 24 where Nasry Asfura beat Salvador Nasralla by less than one percent of the vote. Nasralla has said he would challenge the results, which took over a month to finalize amidst irregularities, which will likely include large-scale protests in major cities. Travelers are advised to avoid any protests and to leave an area at the first sign of violence.
  • Argentina: Protest Advisory | Expect large-scale protests to continue over the coming weeks following the approval of the 2026 federal budget on December 26. The bill makes significant cuts to government spending, which immediately prompted thousands to protest the following day on December 27. Protests against Milei’s austerity measures have been a constant of his time in office, but usually grow in size and frequency in coordination with major government actions such as this one.   • Taiwan: Travel Advisory | A Chinese military exercise will cause massive flight disruptions on Taiwan starting December 30. China has already moved military assets into place to conduct exercises which has prompted the mass cancellation of flights into and from Taiwan. It is estimated that over 100,000 international flight passengers will be affected by these cancellations or diversions. The exercises will take place between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, however residual delays are expected to cause disruptions past the end of the event. Travelers are advised to reconfirm flights and to monitor local media for updates.
  • Western Australia, Australia: Travel Advisory | Tropical storm Hayley is expected to bring heavy rain and possible flooding starting December 29 to coastal regions of Western Australia. A cyclone watch and Act Warning is in place for the area between South Beagle Bay and Cockatoo Island in anticipation of the storm which is expected to become a category 3 level cyclone. Travelers are advised to follow official directives and to avoid low lying areas.
  • New Delhi, India: Protest Advisory | Expect protests to continue in New Delhi over the next few weeks following the death of a hindu man in Bangladesh on December 24. A hindu man was killed in Bangladesh which sparked outrage in neighboring India, leading to hundreds of protesters demanding hindu outside of Bangladesh’s diplomatic offices in New Dehli. Bangladesh has since condemned the instance of violence, however protesters are still expressing their anger over Bangladesh’s handling of the incident. Travelers are advised to avoid all protests and to monitor local media for updates.

  • Morocco: Protest Advisory | Protests in urban centers in major Moroccan cities may turn violent on December 30 and 31. Employees of the General Treasury collection offices will protest outside of the headquarters in Rabat and its regional offices in other Moroccan cities. While the protests are expected to pass peacefully, police crackdowns and arrests are more likely following this year’s Gen Z protests which threatened the government. Travelers are advised to avoid all protests and to monitor local media for updates.
  • Nigeria: Security Advisory | Expect heightened security throughout Nigeria over the coming weeks following renewed efforts at tackling insurgency in the north of the country. Following a string of recent high-profile attacks and abductions, the Nigerian government has increased its security efforts including the allowance of U.S. airstrikes on Christmas day. These heightened security measures will likely affect safer areas of the country as well. Travelers are advised to follow official directives. They should also avoid all travel to conflict-afflicted areas of the country.
  • Israel: Protest Advisory | Expect large scale protests to continue over the coming weeks across major Israeli cities. A series of issues has been prompting mass protests by different issue groups; tens of thousands protested on December 28 against Netanyahu’s alleged ties to Qatar while ultra orthodox Jews have been protesting a proposed bill that would require them to serve in Israel’s army. Several of these recent protests have become violent. Travelers are advised to avoid all protests and monitor local media for updates.

Transport workers will strike across Lima, Peru, on March 5 over driver killings and extortion; expect citywide travel disruptions.

The Association of Urban Transport Service Operators of Peru will lead a 24-hour strike involving more than 8,000 transport workers across Lima. Drivers will suspend services and convoy from Plaza 2 de Mayo and Plaza San Martin to the Government Palace and Congress. Organizers protest rising killings and armed extortion targeting drivers. The strike may reduce transport availability and increase delays.

Limited air travel resumed in the United Arab Emirates on March 4 following previous airspace closure due to conflict in the region.

Airlines have partially resumed operations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Travel delays will continue until at least March 6. Air travel slowed in the UAE after several airports were struck by Iran. Not all ongoing flights are commercial, as airlines are assisting with evacuations.
