  • Taipei, Taiwan: Security Advisory | Expect heightened security in Taipei over the coming weeks following a knife attack on December 19. The recent attack left 3 dead and 11 injured before the attacker was killed in a police pursuit. While the immediate threat is over, the mayor of Taipei has pledged to increase security following the event. This will likely be felt even more near transportation hubs, as part of the recent attack took place outside of a major metro station.   • India: Protest Advisory | Nationwide protests will cause disruptions throughout India on December 23 over new nuclear legislation. The new legislation passed by the Indian government seeks to allow private companies to start participating on nuclear projects.   • Nairobi, Kenya: Security Advisory | Expect heightened security over the next week following the forced dispersal of a protest this morning, December 22. Families and friends of early Gen Z protesters who passed during demonstrations earlier this year were blocked from marching by authorities. Transport workers will strike across Lima, Peru, on March 5 over driver killings and extortion; expect citywide travel disruptions.

The Association of Urban Transport Service Operators of Peru will lead a 24-hour strike involving more than 8,000 transport workers across Lima. Drivers will suspend services and convoy from Plaza 2 de Mayo and Plaza San Martin to the Government Palace and Congress. Organizers protest rising killings and armed extortion targeting drivers. Limited air travel resumed in the United Arab Emirates on March 4 following previous airspace closure due to conflict in the region.

Airlines have partially resumed operations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Travel delays will continue until at least March 6. Air travel slowed in the UAE after several airports were struck by Iran. Not all ongoing flights are commercial, as airlines are assisting with evacuations.
