Security forces have deployed checkpoints and patrols around polling centers, government buildings, and key routes in hotspot cities such as Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula, increasing the likelihood of stop and search activity and short notice travel disruptions. Contested results, technical failures in voting transmission systems, and fraud accusations could trigger localized protests and post election unrest in major urban centers over the following days. - Seoul, South Korea: Travel Advisory | Metro service slowdowns will disrupt public transportation across Seoul beginning on December 1. Metro workers will begin a work-to-rule action, which will limit tasks strictly to what is outlined in their job descriptions and contracts, nothing more. This will result in reduced efficiency and slower service across Metro Lines 1 through 8, likely causing delays and lower train frequency throughout the city. The action is tied to union demands for salary increases as well as opposition to workforce reductions. Multiple unions have also threatened to organize a full-scale general strike on December 12, which would further impact metro operations and significantly disrupt commuter mobility if negotiations fail. Travelers should expect temporary delays across metro services and allow extra travel time when setting out on journeys. Travelers are also advised to reconfirm route schedules with official transit operators and prepare alternative forms of transportation in advance, such as taxis or rideshares.
