From 10-11 October, a 24-hour strike has been planned nationwide for all public transportation services in Italy. The event will take place to demand improved working conditions and contract extensions.
On 8 October, a 24-hour strike is being planned by workers of the Comboios de Portugal and Infraestruturas de Portugal railway companies. Workers are demanding salary increases, the recruitment of more employees, and possibilities for professional progression. Similar strikes in the past have limited train operations throughout the country.
