Throughout the month of August, railway workers of Hull Trains will be staging 24-hour protests every Sunday. The protests are being organized by the Rail, Maritime, and Transport in response to ongoing pension problems with Hull Trains staff.
Underground Tube workers will be on 24-hour strikes on 3, 5, 24, and 26 August. The strikes intend to protest their management’s plan to abolish the night shift drivers’ pay grade. Orange warnings have been issued for the rest of Serbia and Kosovo. Intense heat poses a health threat for vulnerable groups and can lead to dry conditions that are ideal circumstances for potential wildfires.
Typhoon Nepartak is currently moving northwest near the eastern coast of Kanto. It is expected to impact the eastern and southern regions of Japan on 27 July, bringing high waves, strong winds, and heavy rainfall. It is expected to make landfall in the prefecture Ibaraki or the Tohoku region in the afternoon. Flash floods and landslides are possible.
