Thailand Floods Expected Nationwide Through October 30

Heavy rains from the southwest monsoon have led to flooding of roads nationwide, especially in rural areas since 17 October. Disruptions to travel are expected until at least 30 October, with 22-25 October bringing the largest amount of rainfall, and roads have become blocked. Landslides are possible in mountainous areas.

Nationwide Labor Union Strikes to Affect Transportation, Schools, and Government Offices in Naples, Italy on October 11

On 11 October, several labor unions have organized a nationwide work stoppage and protest for better working conditions and new contracts. The strike will affect local transit, airlines, schools, universities, and government offices. At 10:00 local time, a similar demonstration will take place in Piazza Mancini in Naples.

Labor Union Strikes Across France to Disrupt All Transportation on October 5

The General Confederation of Labor (CGT) has called upon other major trade unions to form nationwide strikes across France on 5 October. These demonstrations are for better salaries and working conditions. Business and public transportation including train, metro, tram, and bus services will be disrupted with anticipated residual traffic disruptions.

Major Flood Warnings Issued Across Thailand for October 5

Local authorities across Thailand issued major flood warnings on 29 September. Heavy rains, severe flooding, and strong winds are expected to hit the country, particularly Bangkok, on 5 October, potentially disrupting transportation and infrastructure. Extra precautions are demanded to avoid potential disasters in the provinces of Lopburi, Saraburi, Ayutthaya, Pathum Thani, and Nonthaburi.
