As of October 30, torrential rain throughout east, central and southern Spain has caused flash floods resulting in at least 63 deaths and hundreds injured. Valencia has been most heavily impacted, though Tarragona, Castellon, and Andalusia have also seen extensive flooding, leading to widespread disruptions. Buildings, roads and infrastructure in affected areas remain submerged. Adverse weather will likely continue through November 1.

Over the coming days, security will be increased in Ankara, Turkey, following an attack at Turkish Aerospace Industries.

On October 23, two militants attacked the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries with gunfire and explosives, killing at least five and wounding 22. The attackers were killed during the confrontation. The Turkish government has labelled the attack as terrorism, attributed it to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), and intensified bombing of PKK sites in Iraq and Syria. Security will likely be increased across Ankara over the coming days. Further attacks are possible.

From November 1-8, unionized rail workers will strike throughout London, United Kingdom, to demand increased wages and improved working conditions.

From November 1 at 6:00 PM to November 8 at 11:59 PM, rail workers will strike throughout London. The actions have been planned by the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) Union and Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF) to demand improved working conditions and increased wages. Train services will likely be disrupted and may impact other forms of public transport. Associated protests are possible, which may lead to further disruptions.

On October 30, transportation workers will go on strike for 24-hours across Argentina.

On October 30, transportation workers with the National Transportation Board will go on strike nationwide. Workers responsible for operating airplanes, freight trucking, trains, boats, and taxis will demand higher wages and better union rights. Disruptions to both business and transportation are expected. Demonstrations may also take place outside government buildings. Clashes between protesters and police are possible.
