Power outages, heavy flooding and landslides in low lying areas are highly likely. Floodwaters and debris may make transportation and infrastructure unreliable or unaccessible.
The introduction of a new security law and legislation criminalizing insults to the Chinese national anthem has sparked protests around Hong Kong. A demonstration in Tamar Park has been rescheduled for July 3 at 19.00 local time.
Daily protests are scheduled across Sverdlovsk from June 23 to July 1 in response to President Vladimir Putin’s constitutional reforms. The protests are reportedly unauthorized and could result in incidental violence.
On June 28th the Pride Parade organized by the LGBTQ+ community will be held in Taipei’s Zhongzheng District. Local authorities will increase security due to possible anti-LGBTQ+ protesters. Expect many roadblocks and disruptions in travel.

Many roads, especially near Red Square, will be closed on June 17th, 18th, 20th, and 24th due to the Victory Parade and related rehearsals. There will be significant traffic, reduced number of taxis, and possible flight delays.

A technical glitch disrupted flight operations at Eindhoven Airport in the Netherlands. Flights have been either suspended or transferred to other airports. Residual disruption is likely even after normal operations resume.
On June 16th in Lille and Paris, France, clashes between protesters and police were reported. The anarchist group, “Black Bloc,” was identified as the lead cause in turning peaceful demonstrations violent. The anarchists join protests often wearing black clothing, ski masks, scarves, and other face coverings. Black Bloc anarchists stand in peaceful crowds and break windows, throw stones, and damage vehicles to instigate violence. Black Bloc may cause similar violence in future demonstrations.
