Wildfires in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Canada have prompted evacuations, air quality alerts, and states of emergency through June 27–28.

Incident Details

States of emergency have been declared in both Manitoba and Saskatchewan provinces until at least June 27-28 due to ongoing and uncontained wildfires. More than 25,000  people have been ordered to evacuate in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. Smoke has caused air quality alerts to be issued across Canada and the United States.

Travelers should monitor local news and avoid areas affected by wildfires. Prepare essentials and follow official directives in the event of an evacuation. Anticipate traffic delays as roads may be closed with little to no notice. Minimize outdoor activity in smoke-affected areas.
