At least 4,000 taxi drivers will strike on the island of Phuket, Thailand on April 6. The taxi drivers demand government action to reduce fuel prices, as the rising prices are heavily disrupting taxi profits. Transport in Phuket, Thailand’s largest island and one of its most popular destinations for beach resorts, is almost entirely dominated by taxi services, with infrequent bus services for major destinations.
