Incident Details

The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued warnings of heavy snow and rainfall across the Northern Region through 18 February. High waves are expected as well as floods, strong winds, avalanches, fog, storm surge, and thunderstorms. Kushiro, Nummuro, Tokachi Chiho, Aomori, Iwate, Akita, Miyagi, Yamagata, Fukushima, Niigata, Toyama, Chiba, and Kanagawa are among the affected areas.
