In the coming weeks, members in North and West Africa, especially Francophone countries, should anticipate protests following the French President Emmanuel Macron’s words regarding controversial caricatures of the Muslim prophet Muhammad. Further protests are likely around the Prophet’s birthday on 29 October and All Saints’ Day on 1 November.
