Inclement Weather to Impact New Zealand Until at Least October 6

Incident Details

Heavy rain and associated flooding have affected much of the Southland region (South Island). Environment Southland (ES) has issued a flood warning due to rising rivers in the region. The New Zealand MetService forecasts heavy rain and strong winds until at least 6 October in Westland district, Otago, Southland, Fiordland, and Canterbury regions. Further disruptions, including power outages, can be expected.
