The US Embassy issued a Weather Alert on September 13 warning of Typhoon Bebinca, expected to make landfall in Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Shanghai early on September 16. The storm is forecasted to bring damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and risks of flooding and mudslides to coastal and inland areas of Eastern China from September 15-16.
