From April 22 to April 30, the 2026 Asian Beach Games will take place in Sanya, China, across multiple locations. One dead and 13 injured following a shooting at the Teotihuacán Pyramids in Mexico on April 20; expect heightened security.

A gunman has opened fire at the Teotihuacan Pyramids on April 20. The armed individual opened fire from the top of the Pyramid of the Moon resulting in one death and 13 injured. Authorities assess the attack is a lone-actor incident. The incident is no longer active following the perpetrator’s self – inflicted gunshot wounds. Security forces, including police and the National Guard have responded and confirmed the site has been secured and under control.
