Several states across Southern Mexico are expected to be affected by Tropical Storm Karl from late October 14-16. The storm is predicted to hit Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Tabasco, bringing strong winds and up to 12 inches of heavy rainfall. Power outages may occur, disrupting communication. Flooding and landslides are also possible, which would affect travel and may lead to local evacuations.
