Incident Details

The healthcare workers’ union, Sindicato Médicos Unidos (SMU),  will lead a nationwide strike demanding better-regulated working conditions for Spanish physicians, increased healthcare funding, and higher staffing levels. Emergency services will remain operational as required by law, but other medical services across Spain may face disruptions. Asociación MIR España and other unions will join the strike, with demonstrations possible in major urban centers based on previous mobilizations.
