Incident Details

An explosion injured 4 people on Akadimias Platonos Street, in the Kolonos district of Athens, Greece on October 21 around 4:00 PM. A backpack detonated injuring 2 police officers and 2 civilians. Expect heightened security in the area until the authorities can assess that no further explosions are likely. The police are not treating this as a terror attack, but the suspect(s) have not been apprehended.
