It is advised that you see a physician at least one month before your departure. Mention your trip abroad to receive any country specific advice and necessary vaccines.

Make sure your prescriptions are filled and that you have enough medication to last you throughout your entire trip. You should also check if your medication/prescription is available in your host country.

Discuss any chronic illness or disabilities with your doctor to find how you can best manage them on your trip abroad.
