A heatwave will bring extreme heat across much of Australia until February 1. The heatwave will affect several major Australian cities, such as Adelaide, Melbourne, and Canberra. It is expected to peak on Tuesday where temperatures could reach up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, breaking records. These temperatures also bring a heightened fire risk, including an “extreme” risk to Melbourne on January 27.
