Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo religious group plan to protest in Manila from November 16-18 to call for greater transparency and accountability following alleged corruption in flood control projects. Reports indicate ~30,000 people will be in attendance, and are expected to assemble at Rizal Park though start times remain unannounced. A heightened security presence is to be expected as 9,800 police officers will be deployed alongside multiple road closures.
