Incident Details

Ground workers associated with the Metal and Allied Industries Union (SIMA) will strike intermittently across Portugal September 3 through January 2. This protest follows extended protests by ground workers in July and August. The first strike will begin on September 3 at 12:00 AM and end on September 9 at 11:59 PM. Further strikes will take place each Friday-Monday during the following weeks until, a final, extended strike from December 19 through January 2.
