A major 24-hour strike will significantly impact all transport in Belgium on March 12.
Workers from Belgium’s three main unions will strike on March 12 against a pension reform draft, limiting air and rail transportation. Officials expect air travel to almost entirely halt in the 24-hour span with Brussels Airport the most affected. The national rail operator expects “minimum service” during the strike, which will come at the height of winter travel season. Brussels International Airport is a key hub and connector for flights throughout Europe.
