Emergency Response Planning

About COVID-19

During a pandemic, make sure you are aware of how the virus spreads and how it can affect you.

Stay informed about how the disease is spread from one person to another in order to protect yourself and practice proper safety measures to protect the people around you.
Know all of the symptoms of COVID-19 in order to ensure your health and limit your exposure.

Keep in mind that these symptoms can take two to fourteen days to manifest following exposure to the virus.
In addition to the general COVID-19 symptoms, be aware of the emergency symptoms.

If you experience trouble breathing, new confusion, persistent pain or pressure in the chest area, the inability to stay awake, or bluish lips or face, seek immediate medical care.
You are responsible for your own health as well as the health of everyone around you.

If you feel sick stay home!

Isolate yourself from others in order to contain the spread of the virus, and avoid all forms of public transportation where the virus could be transmitted to a large number of people.
Know what precautions to take to protect yourself and others from the virus.

Follow all of the precautions listed above, and if you feel sick, get tested and isolate yourself. Make sure you know what facilities near you offer testing in the case you fall ill.
Wearing a mask is one of the most common precautions to take against COVID-19.

Make sure you know how to properly put on your mask and how it should fit on your face.
