Thousands of primary health care nurses and administration staff at more than 500 medical centers across the country are expected. Taxi drivers have announced their plan to stage a nationwide strike on 6 November. In conjunction with the work stoppage, they are expected to hold demonstrations in the capital, Rome. Reports indicate that protesters in the capital are expected to gather in front of the Ministry of Economy and Finance office and Piazza Porta Pia at 10:30 (local time) and 13:00, respectively.

Heightened Security at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, India on November 5

Heightened security at Indira Gandhi International Airport is to be expected following a terror alert. The threat was issued by the Khalistan separatist Sikhs For Justice militant group. The group threatened to disrupt two London-bound flights on 5 November. Although terror alerts are regularly issued in the capital, all threats should be taken seriously until proven otherwise.

Storm Goni to Impact Vietnam Between November 4 and 6

Storm Goni is expected to cause significant flooding and landslides within the central provinces between 4 and 6 November. According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the storm will bring heavy rainfall with provinces likely to be hit by strong winds of up to 103-117 kph. At least 36 people were killed and 58 remain missing after Typhoon Molave hit the central provinces. The death toll is expected to rise as rescue operations continue.

United Kingdom Increases Terror Level to Severe

On 4 November, following incoming intelligence including information regarding terrorist capabilities and intentions, the United Kingdom increased the terror level to SEVERE, meaning an attack is highly likely. This upgrade is a precautionary measure to maintain national security in the country following recent attacks that took place in Austria and France.

Portugal to Set Partial COVID-19 Lockdown Beginning on November 4

On 4 November, Portugal will reimpose a partial lockdown due to COVID-19. This lockdown is scheduled to last for 15 days affecting at least 121 municipalities, including the Lisbon area. Measures include a curfew for non-essential businesses and traveling outside the residence is only permitted for essential purposes such as work, school, and grocery shopping.

Synagogue Shooting in Vienna, Austria on November 2

Shooting outside a synagogue on Seitenstettengasse at approximately 20:40 local time. Multiple people have been injured. There are reports claiming the assailant died via suicide belt. Other reports indicate that the assailant is still on the run. There may be more than one person responsible. There has been one casualty and gunfire between police and the assailant has been exchanged.

Tropical Storm Eta to Make Landfall in Nicaragua on November 2

Incident Details
Individuals should anticipate disruptions over the coming days during the passage of Tropical Storm Eta. Eta is expected to intensify into a hurricane as it moves towards the northeastern coast of Nicaragua. This storm is projected to make landfall on 2 November. Tropical Storm Eta is expected to cause up to 25 inches (63 centimeters) of rain in certain locations.
