Beginning 1 February, Florence Airport (FLR) will close due to resurfacing procedures at the airport’s only runway. Flights to or from FLR will either cancel or reroute to the two nearest airports: Pisa International Airport (PSA) and Bologna Airport (BLQ). The airport closure is set to last until March 20, but disruptions are possible after reopening.
As of 21 January, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute issued a red alert for northern counties including Nordland and Troms og Finnmark due to strong winds and icy conditions through 23 January.
