Yellow vest organizers plan to stage a protest in Paris on 20 November. Participants are expected to gather in front of Place du Président Edouard Herriot at 14:00 local time. Recent yellow vest protests have resulted in clashes between police and demonstrators. It is highly likely tear-gas will be used to disperse crowds.

Anti-Government Protests in Santiago, Chile on November 18 and 20

Members should avoid all anti-government protests that will occur on 18 and 20 November in Santiago. On both dates, protestors plan to march from Universidad de Chile metro station to La Moneda at 17:00 local time. Social groups have called for these protests to demand President Sebastian Pinera’s resignation. Expect heightened security near these protests, which endanger bystander safety.

Currently, on 17 November, members should avoid the vicinity of Avenue de France due to unruly protests by striking trash collectors and members of the “Yellow Vests” movement. The two-square-meter rule is still in effect. Restrictions on large social gatherings and social distancing will remain in effect.

Ongoing Security Operation in Rouen, France on November 12

There is an ongoing security operation on 12 November in the Normandy region. Members should avoid the vicinity of Rue Pablo Neruda in the coming hours due to a shooting incident. At least one person has been injured and taken to the hospital. The police have yet to apprehend the perpetrator, and the motive behind the shooting is unknown. Expect a heightened security presence.
