Incident Details

On September 7, flooding from the recent heavy rains in Southern France collapsed a section of Route Nationale 134 in Pyrenees-Atlantiques, just outside Urdos. The collapse has rendered the section of RN 134 impassable, and travel between the region and the French-Spanish border will be extremely limited for the time being. No estimate was given on when the route would be fixed.

Traveler Safety

Safeabroad travelers are advised to avoid using the southern end of RN 134, and to plan alternative routes of travel. Travelers should expect major delays in the Urdos area and on the Spanish border. Monitor local media for updates.
