Nationwide Trade Union Strikes to Block Highways in South Africa on October 7

Incident Details

On 7 October, a nationwide strike held by the Congress of South African Trade Unions and other unions will occur due to a wage dispute with the government. Protesters plan to rally in public spaces across the country and plan to block the N2 and N3 highways in KwaZulu-Natal province. Convoy protests are expected to occur in the vicinity of protest sites, and protesters are expected to march in Durban.
