Incident Details
Temperatures are expected to reach 105°F (44°C) across southern Spain from 10-11 July 2021. This will increase the likelihood of heat-related illness in locations that lack adequate ventilation and air conditioning.
Traveler Safety
SafeAbroad travelers are advised to consume adequate amounts of water and electrolytes when exposed to extreme heat. Travelers should also maintain enhanced situational awareness and learn to recognize the signs of heat-related illness. Contact your program leaders if you have questions.
