Egypt’s Train Services Facing Potential Pause After Accidents on June 21 and 23

Incident Details

Transit by train is expected to pause after a fatal accident involving a freight train and two passenger buses in the Helwan district on 21 June. As of 22 June, another accident in Alexandria left approximately 45 passengers injured. Following the incidents are disruptions to rail service travel and vehicular traffic.
