In South Africa, health officials have begun screening measures at ports of entry for an indefinite duration due to increasing mpox infections. Mpox is a severe viral disease that is spread through human-to-human transmission. Several fatalities have been reported, and individuals with pre-existing health conditions are at increased risk.
